Hi, Myself and my friend are interailling for the first time next week. We have been able to book hostels, and some seat reservations but it becomes increasingly difficult when leaving Berlin. We have been given the option of paper ticket but they won't arrive in time to us or the hostel. It says able to get on the train but worried what this means without a seat reservation. When looking further ahead leaving prague it says unable to board train without seat reservation but there is no available for days which we don't understand how this can be possible. Please can someone advise us on what to do in this situation has I say we have booked accommodation already and have been saving for this for years.

Which train exactly do you mean? EC trains from Germany to Poland are indeed unavailable online, you must go to any German ticket counter (passholder reservation is 4€).

It's usually better to avoid interrail.eu to book seats. Have a look here: https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

We do have an euro rail ticket does this change anything? Thank you so much for you comment it has put my mind at ease. We are going from berlin to prague and then prague to krakow but none of which are allowing us to reserve a seat but some state it's necessary even with out euro rail ticket :)

You may do a seat reservation online here: https://shop.oebbtickets.at/en/ticket.

It's 3 € per person (if there are seats left for your connection).

It doesn't matter what kind of ticket you do hold. Just choose "seat reservation only".

(https://www.cd.cz/en/eshop/ is another option when it doesn't work but I think the first one is easier to handle)
