We have purchased our eurail pass, selected our trips, and purchased seat reservations. The email confirming the seat reservations does not have any assigned seat . Im confused as to where we should sit without specific seat assignments

In the UK, many trains operated by TfW (and Northern and some other regional carriers) don’t have reservable seats.

If you book a journey from London to Holyhead, it’s quite possible to end up with a specific seat in a specific carriage on a specific Avanti train from London to Crewe, and then (similar to what you have above) a phantom reservation from Crewe to Holyhead on a TfW train that doesn’t accept reservations.

Please mention route, date and departure time of the trains without assigned seats.

@neely heath

Usually you can find seat numbers on the attached tickets.

Very occasionally, train companies have ‘compulsory counted place reservations’ which limits the number of passengers on a train, but don’t actually come with a specific seat. It could be that.

But, as mentioned above, we’d need to know your route, date & time. And where you bought them from, and ideally how much you paid, to solve the mystery.
