Hi, I’m going inter railing for 3 weeks for the first time in June. I am travelling through Spain, south of France and Italy. I’m undecided on whether to take a suitcase or buy a backpack. Everywhere I am staying is close to all the train stations so I won't be walking around with luggage for long. just wondering whether to save the cost of buying a backpack and taking a suitcase that Ive already got. Hi Ellie. I think since you already have the suitcase just use it. You can perfectly travel in trains with it and if you are staying close to the train station it wouldn't be an issue. And for 3 weeks it's definitely better a suitcase than a backpack if you don't have to walk much with it. Good luck and enjoy your trip
