Hey,

so I am planning an interrail route including the ferry from bari to patras and I want to go on the 13.1.2026. The issue is I can not select any date further than the 10.1. and I can not find a timetable anywhere only. Does anyone know when they update their timetable and when I can book the seats?

Another question: Somewhere on the Interrail website it said the bus from Patras to the Athens port is included if you take the fery. Is this still up to date?

I am grateful for any help :)

Included in the Greek Islands 6-day pass is bus to Kiato and then a train to Piraeus:
https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/one-country-pass/greece-passes/greek-islands

The bus has mandatory reservations, which you can only do at a Greek ticket office, and which are free of charge.

Hey! So, I figured that part but I was wondering if that also counts for a Global Pass. Do you know anything about that?

With a global pass, the ferry company claims that their ferry is fully included and that you "just” need to pay some surcharges. In reality though, these extra fees can be quite substantial, so it's really just a discount, for which IMO using a travel day is not justified, since it's just a discount. In addition, depending on travel date and your age, a regular ferry ticket can be cheaper than a ferry ticket for a global pass.

A global pass can of course be used on the bus and train to Kiato/Athens/Piraeus, also with a mandatory reservation for the bus, but normal train tickets are not expensive, so using a travel day may not be worth it.

Thanks for the reply. I still do not get it 100%. I thought the point of this was, that you get a free bus/train ticket without having to use another interrail day. Otherwise I would never use a travel day for that since it's just 15€ sometimes so it is barely ever worth to use a travel day.

So, in case you can get a free bus/train ticket to Piraeus with the Greek Island Pass sithout having to use another travel day: Can I also get the free bus ticket (without using a travel day) with my Global Pass?

I hope that clarifies my question :)

The free transfer between Patras and Piraeus is only included with a valid 6-day Greek islands Pass:
