Me and my boys are on a trip right now.
We have the Global Pass 1st Class and we are going from Vienna Hbf to Trieste Centrale on 13/05/26.
When I put the exact train into my rail planner it says that we need a supplement on this route (to pass the boarder I think)
Is this required for pass holders and does 1st class have anything to say in this case?

Yes, there is a supplement required on OBB services to/from Italy, see here for details and how to book.

If I buy a seat reservation for the exact train does it include the supplement also?
That depends. If you book a reservation via Interrail, then it will be included. You pay an additional €2 booking fee. If you book via ÖBB, then the optional reservation is €3 extra (so €1 more expensive in total), but there's no booking fee and you can pick a seat from the seat map.

Which site are you using, ÖBB? If you describe the point where the error occurs, or post a screenshot, it'll be easier to diagnose.

Until now, they just charged me the normal price, or didn't bother checking tickets at all...
