Switzerland trip

Hello. My wife and I are staying in Bellinzona, Switzerland for five nights and doing day trips from there. But wondering if we should cut it short a day or to see areas not close enough for day trips in Switzerland? I'm seeing a lot of scenic train trips, as well as lake cruises that we can use with the Eurail pass, knowing that some of them are only discounted. We have four days of our Eurail pass that have not been booked. Thanks

Any lake cruise that is only discounted does not use a travel day. Unless of course you need to travel by train on your pass to get to the cruise.

I guess you got the Ticino Ticket, to travel for free in Ticino, right? It gives a discount on most mountain railways.

There are lots of places you can reach easily from Bellinzona that are absolutely worth visiting, like Valle Maggia, Valle Verzasca, Lugano and surroundings, for example walk to Gandria and Monte Bre or Monte San Salvatore to Morcote.
So in my opinion, you won’t be annoyed with Bellinzona as your base, but I guess it depends what you want to see and do.
