That difficult second Trip

So - largely thanks to the community I enjoyed three weeks travelling with my five day pass, which of course has now been used up.

The question now is how do I plan the next trip? 

Do I delete the app from my phone, start from scratch and buy the next 5 day trip with a new Passnumber etc in order to activate the pass? Basically the same procedure as when I first got the app and activated the pass.

Or if I’m logged in, will the site will recognise that I already have the app with its Passnumber staying the same and I just need to buy and add another 5 day trip to it?

There's no need to delete the Rail Planner app. You can add many passes in there. But to plan, you don't have to add a pass, or use the Rail Planner app at all. You can just use bahn.de to plan journeys; that's also more reliable.

So I just buy another pass and upload it to the app;which then takes the place of the app which has expired been used up?

Yes, I use Bahn.de as it’s more reliable.

You just add a new pass. I currently have around 20 in the app :)

You can remove expired passes yourself, if you want.

I have 2 passes on my app.  What I don’t understand is why the app asks me which one I want to add a trip to when only 1 of them is still valid.  In other words - I don’t get why it even thinks I might want to add a trip to a pass that has expired.

Yes, a bit confusing but I suppose you just have to be vigilant. 

At least this time I realise I don’t have to give every day a differnt name 😏
