Question

The date

Description of the issue:

I made a mistake with my travel dates. Initially, I selected July 23rd as my start date, but my actual departure date is July 16th.

I have already tried to fix it by deactivating my pass following the instructions in the app (using the three dots menu). Then, I set the correct start date to July 16th.

In the Rail Planner app, I am now able to plan my trip starting from July 16th without any issues. However, when I try to make seat reservations, the system still only allows me to select July 23rd as my departure date, and it does not recognize the updated date.

You can book reservations in many places and the Interrail website is usually not the best or the cheapest place. Follow the advice o this page":

https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm

In addition, activating the pass is not needed to book reservations. In fact, it is not recommended to activate the pass in advance, because you can only cancel the activation before validity starts, which is always at midnight. If something happens after that, e.g. you wake up ill, then it will be too late to cancel, the clock will start ticking and you can loose travel days.
