Good morning,

We, as a family of three, will travel from Pontresina via Tirano, to Como in August this summer. From Tirano to Lecco there will be a bus instead of a train as a replacement during track maintenance.

Does anyone here have recent experience with this  bus? We think it will be very busy, so we are a little worried about traveling by this bus with our group of 3 with our luggage.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah, it was very well organised when I took it. This a is a planned bus replacement and they are well-used to running the operation.

Plenty of staff on hand to direct people off the train and onto the buses, which will be waiting outside the station.

And like @thibcabe says, they’re comfortable long-distance coaches, with plenty of luggage space.

I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

I've not taken that line recently but I can guarantee you there will be more than one bus for each departure. They generally use long-distance coaches with hold for luggage beneath too. Nobody will (or is allowed to) stand.
