Hey guys,

we‘re thinking about travelling from Amsterdam to Copenhagen this summer as a part of an 2 month Interrail trip. Now the following problem accured: the connection takes 11 hours at the moment, but if we take a look at the connections this summer it seems as if 13hours is the quickest connection. How is this possible? Or will there be more connections appearing in the next couple of weeks/months?
thanks for your help!

In 11 hours it is via Duisburg, but this summer other connections will be available in 11h 38min. An important information: seat reservations will be again mandatory.

Probably engineering works. It would help if you mentioned your travel date.

@Lilli Wagner

The line between Oberhausen and Arnhem will be closed this summer. The ICE Frankfurt-Köln-Utrecht-Amsterdam will be rerouted and don’t stop in Düsseldorf Hbf, Duisburg Hbf, Oberhausen Hbf and Arnhem Centraal.

Amsterdam to Copenhagen is normally via Hengelo - Osnabrück, not via Arnhem.
