Hey! Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of taking quite a few long train journeys. I love reading a book or e-book along the way, ideally something that inspires me, like stories about train travel or hobo literature. Do you have any ‘insider’ tips for an adventurous book about train travel for this coming summer? Thanks in advance! Martijn

I guess Bill Bryson‘s „Neighter here nor there“ would be too obvious to be an insider tip.

Not really travel literature, but Patricia Highsmith’s Tom Ripley series has somewhat inspiring and atmospheric settings in different European countries and Ripley’s Game has some of the plot set in a night train (but they should be read in the right sequence).
