HI!

We are booking a 4 tickets with my family (2 adults+2 kids 11 and 14 years old) from Budapest to Paris and we have 2 tight transfers:

18 july

9H55 RJX 62 Budapest

16h34 Muenchen

Time transfer: 10 min

16h46 ICE 592 Muenchen

18h43 Stuttgart

Time transfer: 9 min

18h52 TGV 9570 Stuttgart

22h13 Paris

We don’t have any experience travelling with interrail. Is is possible to achive and take those trains or it’s imposible. We need some advice…

Many thanks

Very likely to miss a connection and get stranded in Stuttgart. Either:

- A. You're fine with risking it. You will likely be stranded in Stuttgart, go to the DB counter for a hotel voucher and travel the next day for free (no travel day needed).

- B. You wish to arrive in Paris that day. Leave Budapest 2 hours earlier and take the first Munich - Stuttgart train you see. Still aim for the 18:52 TGV.

- C. Travel to Vienna in the afternoon, have dinner there and take the Vienna - Paris night train (not daily). Book as soon as possible, very popular. 1 travel day needed.

- D. Take the Budapest - Stuttgart (or Zurich) night train and finish the journey next day. 2 travel days needed.

- E. Travel to Vienna in the afternoon, dinner there and take the Vienna - Bregenz night train: cheaper than the others and using brand new carriages. Next day travel via Zurich or Stuttgart. 2 travel days needed.

Feel free to ask anything.

Those connections are too tight for comfort, trains in Germany are not reliable enough for that.

It would be a different matter if the 18.52 was not the last train to Paris of the day.

Also 18 July was 2 days ago.
