Hi everyone,

I’ve run into a problem while planning my Interrail trip. It looks like there are currently no trains running from Bulgaria to Greece. I found an alternative: taking the train from Sofia to Kulata, then crossing the border and catching a train from Strimon in Greece to Thessaloniki.

Has anyone done this before and knows the best way to get across the border? Or does anyone know of an easier solution?

Thanks ;)

The easy solution will be a Sofia - Thessaloniki bus.

I've heard some people hitchhiking between both train stations but I haven't tried it myself.
