Hi, I'm currently in Tirano and I want to travel back to Utrecht, by using 2-3 travel days. Any tips?
I now Milano would be an option, but I prefer to go to another place. All advice would be very helpful.
I'm mainly looking for train rides with not too many transfers and not too expensive seat reservations, and I prefer not to go via Switzerland, since I just left Switzerland. Thank you!!
Travel tips?

If you don’t want to go back into Switzerland, then you’ll have to go at least as far as Lecco. Most likely routes will go through Milan.
I’m not sure what to suggest since you want to spend 3 days, but not make lots of transfers, and not pay reservation fees. I’d probably advise going through Austria (either via Brescia and Verona, or briefly via Switzerland again. Good quality trains, nice scenery, relatively few compulsory reservations (though I’d stump up the surcharge to go through the Brenner Pass).
From Vienna, you can route through Czech Republic and Berlin if you want the longer, more interesting route. Or just from Austria into Germany if you want the shorter route. It kinda depends on what you're interested in.
There’s also a lot of sleeper trains - from Zurich, Innsbruck, Munich and Vienna for example, to the Netherlands. Quite expensive reservations, but maybe worth it if you want to spend more time around the Alps and it saves you a hotel bill.
