Hi, we are trying to plan to travel to Paris from Scotland as it is a long way we would like to stop in Milton Keynes for a day to break up the journey.

That would mess up our outbound journey, is there a way round it as travel by train is very expensive in the UK.

You could ask customer service for an extra in/outbound day, especially if you live north of Glasgow/Edinburgh:

Other than that, you can only buy an extra ticket for the least expensive day.
