Travelling from france to Spain

Hi I am trying to travel from Narbonne (France) to Toledo in Spain and do not seem to be able to book with Eurail without it being incredibly complicated or very expensive.  I have tried HappyRail and Renfe and both seem very expensive with Renfe not accepting the Eurail discount.  Any help would be gratefully received.  Thank you.

From Narbonne you should be able to get to Madrid with the direct morning AVE (10:34 Narbonne 15:52 Madrid-Puerta de Atocha), reservations should cost €13 when booked through raileurope.com. From Madrid to Toledo, reservations can be booked on happyrail (with an extra fee) or at Spanish ticket offices. Even though there are frequent AVANT trains between Madrid and Toledo, on weekend and peak summer dates they might sell out so best to book them from happyrail then.

Please mention travel date to get meaningful advice.

Looking at your profile, there are 3 travellers in total right?

The RENFE booking system is broken on and off. When it is, neither Eurail or Rail Europe can access it.
