Trip Advice - First Trip - UK > France > Italy > Swizterland

Trying something different this year and doing a trip via rail.

Just over two weeks and going to quite a few places and hoping for some advice.

About half the journeys we have booked reservations. What happens if we miss the train due to one of the “non” reserved journeys being delayed?

On the trip on the app should we add the journeys that have reservations?

Any other good advice?

You have to add journeys with reservations the same way you add all other journeys in the railplanner app.

@PureJaz

If reservations are mandatory, you have to exchange them at a ticket office (free of charge).

You can find more information here;

https://www.cit-rail.org/media/files/passenger-info/ajc_web_content_2025-07-01.pdf

You must add all journeys on the app, with or without reservations.
