Hi there! I’m a little lost at the moment. I try to get a reservation for a couchette to get from Utrecht Central to Basel SBB on 25-07-2025 departure time 20.47, arrival time 06.20. I can literally see on OBB that there are tickets available, but I don’t have a credit card and therefore am unable to pay. Is there any other way to get such a reservation? I’ve tried with NS international, but as far I can see, you can’t add an interrail card as a discountcard.

Without a creditcard, your can go to a ticket office.

Online, it might work on interrail.eu, with the option "online bank transfer”. There's an extra booking fee of €2 per person and train. However for some reason, I don't see couchettes on 25/7, although ÖBB say there are.

If I were you, I'd get a free payment card, such as Revolut. You can apply for it online, via their app. It also has very low exchange fees, for payments in other currencies. Once approved, you should already be able to use it for online payments; you can also order a physical card for a one-time fee for the free account. You can put money on the Revolut account e.g. via an iDeal payment or a normal bank transfer.
