Unable to Reserve Seats from Budapest to Vienna (August 12, 6:55 AM) – Issue for Over a Week

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to reserve seats for two passengers on the Eurail website for the train from Budapest to Vienna on August 12th at 6:55 AM (EC 140) for over a week now, but without success.

Every time I try, the reservation either doesn’t load or I receive an error. I’ve tried different devices and browsers, but the issue persists. I’ll attach a screenshot of the problem for reference.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Any tips or recent updates would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This train can't be booked yet:

Just wait and try again later. There's no rush, there's still a lot of time.

Please note that Kelenföld is not in the city centre; this train starts at Budapest Keleti.

Also note that this reservation is a lot cheaper (€3 per seat) on tickets.oebb.at and you can also choose your seat there.

It's best to ignore the Eurail website to book. It's more expensive and you can never choose your seat. The best places to book reservations are on this page:

Thanks for your answer !

unfortunaly I don’t have the same price has you :) As you can see in the picture below.

So I think i’ll wait until this train can be book or i’ll take the train of 7:40 am, wich is already available on eurail.com

To book reservations via ÖBB, you need to check "Seat reservation only” or add the Interrail/Eurail discount. Otherwise you'll see regular ticket prices. Seat61 explains it all.
