Hello I really need some help - i’m travelling in a few hours (early tomorrow morning) and can’t get the pass sorted.

I have activated my pass to start tomorrow - I’m travelling very early tomorrow morning.

i have already paid for and reserved trains - they all appear in ‘my bookings’ under ‘seat reservations’

I cannot see where the Interrail pass QR code is? any idea where I find that?

I am chatting to a person from interrail over email and they tell that

  1. I cannot add my reservations to my pass - they are separate.
  2. that I must add my journeys to the Pass for the QR code to be generated.

if i try to add a journey then I need to book and pay for seats all over again.

should I use the option for the travel days of ‘interrail pass network only’?

Looking forward to some answers and help.

i don’t want to get to the station tomorrow without a pass ticket/QR code to show…

thanks🙏🙏☀️

I think what they mean is: the reservation doesn’t create the journey, so it doesn’t really matter that you bought them via Interrail.
So if you haven’t done this yet, you have to choose the every leg of your journey in the planner and ad them to “my trip”. Once done this, you can “toggle” the first one shortly before you board the train and the QR code will be created.

And of course the reservations you bought are still valid, but kept separate just as if you bought them on another website (I’m not sure how they look in the rail planner, since I never bought any via Interrail)

Hi Dagi thanks so much for replying, when I try to create the journey in ‘plan my journey’ the trains that i’m booked onto don’t even show - maybe no seat still available?

can i just ‘use a travel day’ tomorrow and not ‘add a journey’?

That’s strange. But it’s possible, that rail planner doesn’t show the Eurostar at the time of departure, but earlier, since it adds the time you have to arrive earlier for check in. That can be kind of confusing.
Anyway the trains should show independently of availability of bookings, as most people book through different apps.

The app has a bug: for Eurostar from/to London, it shows a departure time in the planner results that is exactly 35 minutes early. If you check the journey details, then you'll see the correct departure time and the train number that should be on your reservation.

Also note that you can add any train, since you can add missing trains manually. This is not needed often though.
