Question

Using inbound/outbound journeys

Hello, I booked a 7-day pass with my friends. There are three trips between Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic for which I have my tickets shown in yellow on the app.

For the trips in France, where a reservation is mandatory, I bought tickets and received them by email. However, in the app it asks me to check the outbound and return boxes for three journeys where I already purchased the mandatory seat reservation.

What should I do? If I get checked by a ticket inspector, will it be a problem if those boxes are not checked?

Thanks

You can use your Interrail Pass only on 2 of the 7 total travel days in your own country (If those 3 Journeys are only on 2 days then that is not a Problem).

Do you have your Interrail Ticket as a mobile Pass in the App or do you have the Paper Version?

Thank you, but I don't understand. I'm French. If I go from Valence (in France) to Strasbourg, then Strasbourg to Munich, and on the return trip I go from Berlin to Strasbourg and then Strasbourg to Valence, is that not possible?

We're doing Valence-Strasbourg and Strasbourg-Berlin from August 1st to 3rd, then Berlin-Strasbourg and finally Strasbourg-Valence on August 12th and 13th

That should be possible as long as in both cases you arrive and leave strasbourg on the same days.

I made a mistake; I didn't realize it wasn't possible to make multiple trips within my country. I'll get a refund and buy another pass and choose a different itinerary.

Please first read my other post.

If the 2nd and 3rd day in France is only between Strasbourg and the border, then there's a cheap solution for that and you don't need another pass.

You have two days of travel in your own country.

Strasbourg is already pretty close to Germany. If you plan to take a highspeed train from there to Germany @rvdborgt linked a reply with how to get the ticket just for the part in france. If your plan involved a regional train over the border, just buy a normal ticket from Strasbourg to i think Kehl). (that way you can use your inbound/outbound days for the journey from Valence to Strasbourg and back)
