Given that that’s half of Europe, I won’t make suggestions.

You won’t get fast connections in the Balkans. You won’t even get trains most of the time. Expect to use buses here.

Thats a lot of travel. 

First regarding the first section: (I am looking on doing just this at some point from Denmark to Poland, as i dont have as much time as you in one go)

So you are planning to do Denmark→ Sweden→ Norway→ Sweden→ Finnnland →  Estland→ Letland→ Litouwen→ Poland→Czechia

. Ithink there is a short Bus from a train station in Sweden to a a train station in Finnland(not included in the Pass). And from Finnland (Helsinki) to Estland (Tallinn) you are going to need to take the Ferry (offers a slightly reduce price).

As far as place to visit in those countries (i am mostly only listing cities i have visited before):

• Copenhagen
• Stockholm (i recommend visiting the Vasa museums)
• Gdansk (i recommend visiting all the places of the maritime museum and the world war museum)
• Warschau (lots of options, i like trains so i visited the train museum there)
• Prague (has some great free museum, a military museum close to the main train station and a big airplane museum at the edge of the city)

Tips regarding the route:

There is an affordable night train between Warschau and Prague (but you could also make another stop in Krakau(i have heard its nice but i have not visited it myself, same for Ostrava))

yeah there are very limited connections there. (one of the reasons i have not travelled there yet. I did the easy parts of europe first)

Now that i read all the countries it looks like you have nearly every country on that list (I would do the same if had 3 months to travel)

You could do Slovakia→ Hungary→ Romania→ Bugaria → Romania → Hungary → Serbia → Montenegro (Bar) → Serbia → Hungary → Croatia

I myself have only gotten as far as Romania(Bucharest) in that direction. Ihave heard that the line from Belgrad(Serbia) to Bar(Montenegra) offers great views. (But i could never fit it in my travel plans so far.

Dankjewel voor de nuttige tips. Dus, als ik het goed begrijp, de pas van 3 maanden onbeperkt aantal reisdagen is toch niet zo allesomvattend als de beschrijving het laat blijken? Niet overal treinen inbegrepen? Of veerdiensten? En wat met bus-, tram- of metrodiensten in de steden?

In general only trains. (no trams, bus or metro). (It lists the valid companies for each country, in some place the Bus operated by some train companies is also included).

Also depending on the country there are mandatory reservations required for highspeed trains, that cost extra.(France(10/20€), italy(13€) and Spain are some of the countries with expensive reservations)

So yes you usually need an extra ticket for the local city transport.

Eigenlijk zou ik 2 grote cirkels willen maken, elk ca 6 weken, dus samen 3 maanden: bij de 1ste wil ik van België naar de 4 Scandinavische landen, terug via de 3 Baltische staten, en dan via Polen, Tsjechië, Slowakije, Oostenrijk, Duitsland en terug. En dan een 2De via Luxemburg, Zwitserland, Slovenië, de hele Balkan, via Griekenland en Ferry naar Italië, en terug naar België. In elk land de hoofdstad, behalve Polen, Tsjechië, Oostenrijk, Duitsland, Luxemburg, Griekenland en Italië (heb ik al gezien). In die landen dus andere interessante steden, overal ca 2 à 3 nachten; totaal bijna 90 dagen. Nuttige tips voor onderweg? Of treinroutes? Ferry’s? Is noorden van Noorwegen en Finland haalbaar (bv Rovaniemi)?

I personally dont have much experience with ferries as i only took one ferry so far. (Poland→ Sweden) But the experience was good (i took it mostly because i did not have spare travel days for germany and to have taken a ferry.

If i read this right you second plan is something like Luxemburg → Germany → (Switzerland) → ( Italy or Austria) → Slovenia → Croatia → Hungary → (Serbia→ Montenegro→ Serbia → (Hungary)) → Romania → Bulgaria → Greece → Ferry → Italy (starting from Bari for example) → Switzerland → and then back via Germany. 

I personally love switzerland as they have lots of interesting routes and plenty of places that can be reached directly by train.

Unusual things: The Route between Italy and Sicily is the only route in Europe where trains still travel on a ferry. 

Dankjewel voor de tips; mijn rondrit krijgt steeds meer vorm, en ik begrijp dat ik niet overal de trein kan nemen, ik heb ook busritten (extra betalen) nodig. Dit zijn de steden waar ik 2 à 3 nachten zal verblijven: Kopenhagen, Göteborg, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Talinn, Riga, Vilnius, Gdansk, Lodz, Brno, Bratislava, Salzburg, Frankfurt, en dan even naar huis; 2de deel: Genève, Vaduz, Innsbruck, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Belgrado, Boekarest, Varna, Sofia, Ancona, Genua, en terug naar huis. Zijn er ook stadskernen (tram, metro, bus) inbegrepen in de Interrail Pass (3 maanden, 1ste klas, onbeperkt aantal reisdagen). Ik neem ook 3 ferry’s (Stockholm - Helsinki, Helsinki - Talinn en Dubrovnik - Ancona)

Tram, bus en metro zijn niet inbegrepen, tenzij ze gereden worden door een van de deelnemende spoorwegen. In de genoemde steden is dat echter niet het geval.

Op de eerste 2 veren is er ook korting met je Interrail mogelijk, zie dit overzicht.

Houd er rekening mee dat je je Interrail maar op max. 3 dagen in België kunt gebruiken (op een papieren pas 2 dagen). Het is wel zo dat je je pas desondanks altijd in een continentale Eurostar van/naar België kunt gebruiken, ook als je geen in/uitreizen meer over hebt. Ook de TGV's tussen Brussel en Frankrijk kun je dan nog steeds gebruiken. Formeel heb je dan een reservering "pass 2” nodig, maar die kost voor deze TGV's hetzelfde als een reservering "Pass 1”. Pasreserveringen voor Eurostar en TGV Brussel-Frankrijk zijn wel maar beperkt beschikbaar.

Plan dus goed wanneer je welke in/uitreis gebruikt: je kunt die op elk moment tijdens de geldigheid van je Interrail gebruiken, niet alleen aan begin en eind.

Generally, city transport is not included. But you can use the pass on most S-Bahns in Germany, Swiss and Austrian cities.

It might be useful to you in Frankfurt, possibly in Zurich and Vienna too if you visit those cities while changing trains. Though note that it’s not valid on the S10 in Zurich.
