15 days Eurail Global Pass

From 06th April to 18th Apr I will be visiting EU and covering France, Brussels, Swiss and Italy. I am planning to buy EU Rail 15 days pass for my family. Will this pass cover:

  1. Rail access between different countries
  2. Metro access in Paris
  3. Intercity rail and bus access in Swiss
  4. Intercity rail and bus access in Italy

would appreciate if someone could let me know.

Thanks

Hetal

It doesn’t cover the Metro, or almost any other city transport. Just buy tickets locally.

It doesn’t cover buses, unless these are operated by a train company (usually as a rail replacement service).

It covers the rest.

You're travelling at a busy time (days before Easter) so do buy seat reservations now when required.

This is the case i.e. on Paris - Brussels (Eurostar) or on Italian high-speed trains. There are usually slower alternatives.

Brussels - Switzerland can be done via Germany on reservation-optional trains -> though a good idea to book seats unless you wish to stand for hours…

On the other hand seat reservations are not a thing within Switzerland so you can hop on hop off, sit wherever you want and be flexible.

For further questions, mention route and travel dates. ;)
