Hi there,

I am a canadian citizen planning on taking the 2 months Eurail Global Pass. During those 2 months, I’am planning to stay at friends in Swizerland a lot, would I be able to use the Eurail pass unlimited in Switzerland during those 2 months as it will be like my main spot of travelling ?

Thanks a lot,

Justine

That is absolutely not a problem.

A map of Eurail validity in Switserland can be found here.

BUT the swiss also have their very own passes-also valid on all other transit (yellow postbus, local citybustram etc) that may then be far better value. Consider using EUrail only for longer trips out of CH.

Even more; ask friends if they live in a Kanton/Kommun where they can ´rent´ a supercheap generalABO for 1 day and use it.
