4-Day Global Pass for return trip France to UK

Hello - my first post here …..

I live in France and am thinking of buying the Senior 4-Day Global Pass under the current 25% discount.

I will use it to travel as follows :

One day will be : Paris to London and then London to Manchester

Then the return, also in one day : Manchester to London and London to Paris

My question is - can I do this or not? I will be on 2 trains in the UK twice on the same day - Lon/Mancs/Lon … but also the UK leg of the Eurostar each day ….

I’m looking for a flexible ticket , that I can activate when needed anytime over the next year - this to be able to visit my elderly brother and spend a few days or up to a month with him as needed. The Interrail Global Pass seems to offer what I need - plus much more flexibility and a pleasanter journey than flying and a much better price.

Thank you in advance for your advice

Yes you can do this. On a travel day, you can use as many trains as you like. And on 2 of your travel days, you can also travel in your country of residence.

A pass can be activated up to 11 months after purchase. You can also buy multiple passes if you think you'll need more of them over the next 11 months. If you buy them via Allaboard, then you can get a full refund until 11 months after purchase.

Yes, that’s fine. It’s how it’s meant to be used.

Bear in mind you can only use two of your four days in France, since that’s your Country of Residence. This doesn’t seem to be a problem based on the plans you've mentioned.

Flexibility - be a bit careful here. You will need reservations on the Eurostar, and these do sell out. Don’t assume you’ll be able to get one at the drop of a hat.

To give you an idea about availability, you can search on Rail Europe for Paris-London, indicating that you have an Interrail pass. Then you’ll be able to see availability over the next days/ weeks/ months.

Thank you @rvdborgt and @ralderton - you both reassured me about my planned usage and both gave me extra advice which I shall use.
