Paper passes do not need to be activated-in fact thats impossible. This pass is only available as paper.

You have to show pass to get the tickets for the ferry-and only for the ferries that accept this pass. It should in principle also now be possible to book your place on th ship

Be careful!!! Book your ferries in order, otherwise you won’t be able to use it for ferries before that date. We used the blue star ferries website and it allowed us to book but now we can’t book anything before our later ferry. Can’t even change the activation date because interrail are useless at responding

You can ‘activate’ it using the blue star ferry website. It activates from your first booking when you use the pass cover number.
