it is not clear yet to me if is there any possibility to add a travel day to my pass, when already on it.
For example, I am going to purchase a 3 days pass, but my travelling days will include coincidences. In case some train runs late (I am going to Norway, I do not know how often that could happen) and I loose the coincidence, I will need one more travel day. Will it be possible to add it?

Before you have started to use the pass and if the conditions for the pass allows, you can exchange one pass for another pass for the fee of 15 EUR. You first have to buy the second pass and you will then get the amount for the first pass - 15 EUR back.
Passes bought on a sale are normally neither refundable nor exchangeable.
If you miss a connecting train because of a delay, then you do not need extra travel days. You are then entitled to use the next available train(s) towards your destination without extra costs. The railways have to make your ticket valid for that if necessary, or give you an extra ticket.
