Newbie here! I have a trip with some journeys listed. I haven't activated my pass yet as I dont leave until September. On my trip list of journeys I dont see the yellow toggle on/off to add or remove to my pass. Do I only get that after I activate my pass?

+6Yes, you are only able to add journeys to your pass when the pass is active. Best to activate the pass only very shortly before your first journey.
You can however try out activation by selecting a validity period in the future. Remember to properly deactivate the pass after the test.
