Adjusting trip dates/cities after I connect my pass to it

Hello,

I purchased a 7-day Global Pass for 4 people, so have 4 pass numbers and added a trip with multiple cities and dates (below).  If I connect the trip to my pass and later need to change dates and cities, can I do that w/out disconnecting pass from a trip? Is it just a matter of removing one journey and adding another?

If I’m not sure which city I want to visit -- do I add both journeys to a trip and then delete one?

Thank you!

Kirill

June 30  Prague > Berlin

July 4 Berlin > Nuremberg and Nuremberg > Munich (time of second leg might change)

July 7 Munich > Zurich

July 9 (might need to change to 10) Zurich > Basel (might need to change to Lucerne)

July 12 Zurich > Vienna

July 14 Vienna > Prague

Yes exactly that. You can add and remove trains as much as you like to a Trip. I add all the trains I might take, and then only swipe on the ones when I actually take them.

You can only have a pass connected to one Trip at any time.

It’s up to you if you have several ‘Trips’ and move the pass between them. Most people don’t bother doing that, just add everything to one Trip.

You can change your trains at any time. The only requirement is that, before you board a train, you must have an active travel day and that train added to it.

Connecting a trip to a pass (step 2 in the activation procedure) isn't a problem.

It is however not recommended to activate the pass in advance (step 3 of the activation procedure). Activating means setting the start date of the validity period. You can only cancel pass activation until 23:59 of the day before that start date, so if something happens after that (e.g. you wake up ill), then it will be too late to change. The clock will start ticking and you may lose travel days. The same is true for activating travel days on a flexipass.

Is that even possible? I thought that once you connected the Pass to a Trip and started to travel, that you had to stick to that Trip and amend the Journeys in that Trip.

Hmm I think you’re right. I must have imagined that you could detach a Pass from a Trip.

I think that's possible as long as the pass hasn't been activated.
