I paid for a double cabin on a direct Nightjet 421 from Amsterdam to Munich and it was supposed to be direct. OBB contacted me and they cancelled this route but now I have to stop in Augsburg and change a train to IC 619 to complete my trip. I am leaving Amsterdam on 9/12/2025 at 19:00. OBB gave me a voucher for the seats on this second leg. While OBB shows this route as an option the Eurail app does not and only gives me the option to change trains in Nürnburg. How should I handle this with the Eurail app? Thanks

I'm assuming you mean 12 September. (Please be aware DD/MM is used in the US only and will create confusion elsewhere.)

The Rail Planner app often has problems with trains that split and join and doesn't show Amsterdam-Augsburg as a direct train.

You can enter the train manually, to prevent it from using 2 travel days.

The transfer time in Augsburg is currently shown as 5 minutes. Should you miss it due to a delay, then just take any next train to Munich. Use the DB Navigator app for real-time information in Germany.

Thank you for your response and I apologize for the confusion regarding the date. Is there a webpage you can refer me to that explains how to manually enter the train information because yes the use of a 2nd day is an issue I thought of and asked OBB about but OBB assured me they thought it would not be a problem, but- would reimburse me post-hoc if I was required to purchase a ticket to travel from Augsburg to Munich.

To enter a train manually, just enter a journey, then scroll to the bottom of the results and tap on "Add it manually”.

Did ÖBB only give you seat reservations for ICE 619, or also a ticket? They should have given you a ticket.

Thanks for this info I will give it a shot. I agree they should have given me a ticket too and I asked twice but they gave me the run around and gave me the answer I already posted.

They may have made an agreement with DB to carry their passengers from Augsburg to Munich, but it would be clearer if they'd just say that.

You could also enter the night train just as on your reservation: with destination Munich. Then you have a ticket...
