With an Interrail pass I’m usually arriving at a train station and need to continue my travel by local bus to arrive at my final destination.
Is such public regular nearby transportation included with the Interrail pass?

Hi, no not included. All sorts of public transport like bus, tram or metro (U-Bahn).
S-Bahn or suburban trains most times are included because they are run by companies that accept Interrail like Deutsche Bahn.
Rail Replacement busses are also included in the pass.
