Hi I am planning to visit Sweden , Germany , Austria , and Italy in August. I was planning on buying a 5 day pass but was confused if the pass is for 5 days of my choosing or if it’s consecutive days?  Also for example if I went to two countries in one day would that be using 1 day or 2 ?

The 5 days in a month pass is, as it says on the name : 5 days in a month, which mean you can travel 5 diffrent days in the course of a calendar month (for exemple from 23/03, till 22/04), they do not have to be consecutive. For your second question, a travel day goes from 00:00 until 23:59 CET, you can take as many trains as you want, in as many country as you want in that time span.
