Hello, is there any lounges which is available with 1st class eurail grobal pass in Roma Termini and Venezia St.Lucia?

Best answer by Angelo

No I'm sorry, the Freccia Lounge is only for frequent travelers in Business (1st class) and people with a Ticket for Executive Class (1st +).

1st class lounges are only accessible for passholders in some countries, Italy is not one of them.

You can use lounges in Austria (quite good, in any larger city) and GB. In FR a very, very few-I think only with ALSO a RES for TGV in the next 2-3 hrs. and in theory in NL on INT trips-but these are sourced out to a kind of ´temp.office provider´ in/nearby stations. Expressly NOT IN DE on DB!

Can you use lounges with interrail really only in Austria and UK? Are there some more countries available, where you can enter the lounges with a 1st class pass? 😅

CD "Lounge" is included, probably with reservations also Regiojet and probably also MAV Start in Budapest.

The three NS International lounges (Amsterdam Central, Schiphol and Rotterdam) are accessible too for 1st class interrail passholders, as stated explicitly on their site https://www.nsinternational.com/nl/stations/nsinternational-lounge: "1e klas internationaal ticket (incl. Interrail 1e klas)"

Apart from the 1st class Interrail/Eurail pass with an active travel day, you also need a reservation on an SJ train in 1st or 2nd class for the day.

They request a ticket (= an active travel day), not a reservation. Or are they explaining it incorrectly on their website?

They wanted to see my SJ reservation both in Stockholm, Malmö and Göteborg last week.

The only way to travel with SJ without a reservation is on a regional train.

Which suggests that the information on their website is incorrect.

Or, from the passenger's point of view: they're asking something that's not required.

MÁV start, yes, but only with a seat-reservation for the 1. class from/to Budapest (that may be also Kelenföld, Déli, Nyugati pu., Zugló. Don’t forget you need time to go there and don’t forgot to buy a ticket for the local-transport of the BKK (for the metro , you can use a VISA/MasterCard, Revolut, Wise, etc. Card!). The actual price of a single trip is 500 HUF (about € 1,40/£ 1,20/$1,60).

In Sweden you have access to the SJ lounges with a 1st class pass and an SJ seat reservation for the day.

SJ however still write "ticket for an SJ departure the same day" and an active pass with an SJ train added would also be such a ticket.

Someone with an 1st class pass going to Sweden ( @Angelo ) might see if it's enough with an active SJ travel or if a reservation is needed.

Yes :)

I would on top test to get inside with a travel day of the day before with a reservation for the nighttrain.

I have got into the lounges in Stockholm and Malmo with just a 1st class pass no problem.

From memory, I have had reservations also but don’t think I had to show them

I’m 99% sure I was there in October 2025, on the way to Utrecht.  Although, now that I think of it, I don’t know for sure whether they asked for the reservation that time.

The certainly didn’t back in Summer 2024.
