Can I travel from Bordeaux in my home country to London (via Lille or Paris) using international pass?
Although doable in a day, because I need to change trains to get on the Eurostar, does this count as more than one trip within my home country ? ie the first trip (Bordeaux to Paris or Lille would not be to cross the border).

Donc Bordeaux-Paris/Lille sera parfaitement possible :)

You can travel on a maximum of 2 travel days in your country of residence. During these travel days you can board as many trains as you like. So you can use a Global Pass for you trip. But if those are your only travels, buying normal tickets might be cheaper if you buy them well in advance.

There cost for the seat reservation on the Eurostar is about 30 EUR and you can get cheap ticket on the Eurostar for less than 50 EUR so in that case Interrail will be more expensive.
