I got a eurail pass for 4 days in one month and have it all planned out to go from london to paris to madrid.. etc, but I was wondering if I can use my pass for shorter local journeys in each city on travel days as well? For example, I’m going to arrive in Paris around 11 in the morning and want to use that day to explore the city. Can I just my eurail pass to get around the city that day or is local travel not included? And if It is included how do I go about adding those journeys to my pass?

Hello regional trains are mostly included, but not public transport in citys like metro or tram. In some citys Suburban trains are included like in Berlin, Copenhagen or Vienna.

In Paris the RER trains and Metro lines are not included.
