I have a 1 month pass which I’ve already activated and purchased reserved seats. I now want to start my pass 1 day earlier but I’m concerned that if I deactivate the pass and then reactivate it starting a day earlier I will lose the train trips I’ve already booked.

There is no link between pass and reservations. Deactivating the pass will have no effect on reservations, you will of course need an active pass to use them.
You can deactivate a pass up to 23.59 on the day before it’s first day. Once the activation period has begun you can no longer deactivate it.
