I am born in Germany but currently living in France (I have a proof of tenancy in France). But Germany is still the country of residence on my ID, because I’m staying in France for one semester only. Can I now book an interrail pass, in which I choose France as my country of residence and the starting/ending point (because this is where I live), even though its not on my passport? Or is the country of residence always the country marked on the ID?

Hi Cla, from what I understand you do not have official governmental documents (note that a visa alone is not a proof of residency) confirming your residency in Europe. If that is true, you will have to select Germany as your country of residence when purchasing your Pass. For more information on this topic you can have a look here
