Country on passport different than country, where the journey starts

My home country is Germany but I’m living in Austria. I want to travel from Austria to Germany on one travel day and from Germany to France on another day (and the same route back). Is this possible or should I (or can I) change my country fom Germany to Austria?

Hey, you can change you country of residence only via costumer service via this link. But you have to wait long, because they are busy.

You could use from Austria the first day your Interrail pass till the Border like Passau HBF, Salzburg HFB, Kufstein or Lindau-Reutin and from there a DB Ticket to your destination in Germany and then use one outbound journey to leave Germany to Paris.

You can also use it on the first day and pay a Ticket for Paris till the Grenztarifpunkt between Germany and France via DB Reisezentrum from/to Paris.

Which link?

sorry, this Submit a request – Eurail Knowledge Base

The problem is not that you are starting in a other country. This is possible. The problem is that you can use only 2 days in your home country that you selected.

Okay, so it’s not possible to use the pass as I planned to, right?
