direct travel on travel day

Hello! I have a question about a global pass. On a travel day how much of a detour can I take from one destination to another? For example: I want to travel from The Hague to Rotterdam, can I take a detour through Amsterdam? Thank you for your answer in advance.

On a travel day, you can use as many trains as you like, in the direction(s) you like.

Oh thank you very much for your answer!! So I assume that also means I can do a return trip as long as it is within one day (so before 00:00)
