Do I need a Eurorail Pass?

Hi,  I have made my plan and only need to travel on 3 dates.  It looks like the shortest pass is 4 days.  Can I just buy a train ride from one place to another OR do I need the pass and then reservations?  TIA!

Of course you can just buy tickets.

Trainline and Rail Europe are both good websites for quickly checking prices for a lot of train companies - although they don't cover everything, and both add booking fees.

Bear in mind that, depending on when and where you're travelling, tickets might be available anywhere from a few weeks to a year ahead.

You can just buy normal train tickets from one place to another.

@Kate Lund If you tell us where you plan to travel, i can better recommend where to buy tickets.
