Hi! I am planning my first trip via train in Europe. I would like to confirm few items,
Here is our itinerary for full month of February
- Day 1 : Oslo - Bergen, extra 12nok for seat reservation
- Day 2: Paris-Geneva, this trip for my dates, which is 2 months from now, is showing 338 euros. If I have EUrail pass, do I just have to pay just 39 euros for a seat reservation? Is this 39 euros fixed, or it can increase when its closer to booking time? Just looking at the price of the ticket on the SNCF website, i.e., 338 euros, an EU rail pass makes so much sense if I have to pay just 39 euros. I hope I am not missing anything.
- Day 3: Geneva-Zurich, extra for seat reservation; I am not sure how much it was not clear on the eurail website.
- Day 4: Zurich - Chur - Tirano - Milan - Venice, for Bernina express do i have to book tickets from the actual website, i.e., 32chf? For a high-speed train in Italy, how much do I have to pay for seat reservations? Where do I find this information?
- Day 5: Venice - Rome
I am planning on buying the Eurail 1st class flexible pass (5 days in 1 month pass)
My question is: Once I buy my Eurail pass, where do I book seats for these segments?
Thank you in advance!
