Hello Team,

I have booked below journey via Rail Europe website and while booking I have selected I have a global pass (2nd class)

  • Rome Termini to Venice S. Lucia

Now do I have to activate my pass for this trip on the day? 
The ticket does says below

“Global Pass: Only for pass holders valid for the whole international requested route. Show
your credentials on board.”

The ticket does have a bar code so will the checker would also ask to see this trip in my rail planner app or just scanning the barcode on the ticket would be enough for the ticket checker?

Yes, you must always have the correct journey logged on Rail Planner, mandatory reservations or not. Otherwise you are travelling without a valid ticket! The pass is your ticket.

Staff will want to check both the reservations PDF and the Rail Planner app.
