Travelling from Rome to Switzerland (visiting all cities in Switzerland) then moving on to France. Will the Eurail pass work on trains within Switzerland cities as well as from one country to another?

Thank you in advance.

Here is a map that shows the validity of Interrail/Eurail in Switzerland.

The pass is not valid on public transportation within cities and not on the yellow post busses.

If you would buy the Swiss Travel Pass you can travel with trains, post busses and local transportation.

This seems highly unlikely-Swiss alone has well over 50 cities with urban transit-17 of which have electric trams and/or trolleybuses. Nearly all cities will offer fairly ´cheap´ (nothing is cheap in Swiss) daytickets-or for 24 hrs.
