If I am Travelling from Basel - Switzerland to Venice. Do I have to buy Swiss tickets between Basel to Lugano (in switzerland) OR is it covered with my Eurail pass

OR do we have to but Swiss Travel Pass within Switzerland.

Which pass is better option for in Switzerland  - Swiss Travel Pass OR Half Fare Pass (5days /4night stay itinerary)

It's covered if you are holding a global pass. No additional pass / ticket needed.

You do just need a mandatory reservation when crossing the border (Switzerland / Italy) in a long-distance train (or for long distance trains in Italy). No reservation needed for RE trains from Lugano to Milano.

A Eurail Global Pass is probably the way to go for the entire trip. It covers trains all across the country + boats on Lake Thun and Brienz.

25-50% discounts on mountain peaks and other lakes.

Seat reservations are mandatory on fast/high-speed trains in Italy (extra costs), have a look at https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm
