Yes the Eurail Pass is valid in both countries on all major railway operators. More info here : https://www.seat61.com/how-to-use-a-eurail-pass.htm
Seat reservations are optional on this route but recommended in summer and on busy days (only cost 3€ through ÖBB), see : https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm
However if that's the only journey you'll make by train, a regular ticket will be cheaper.
