Eurostar seat reservations

I’m trying to book two seat reservations from London to Paris on 19 July. When I look at the seat reservations page of Interrail there are first class reservations available (I’d rather have second but they’re sold out). When I log in though, there is no way to book them. I’m rather losing my mind about this as presumably the few first class ones left will sell out.

  1. do I have to have a first class pass to book first class seat reservations for the Eurostar? (This is the only thing I can think of - I’ve got a second class pass).
  2. am I missing something in the booking process?

Any help welcome, I am stuck!

Before you log in, it's not really showing live availability, just indicative prices.

But yes, you do need a first class pass to book in first class. There are very few trains which let you ‘buy up’ into first class, and Eurostar isn't one of them.

Fantastic - that’s solved that problem. Do you know if, when you have a first class pass, you have to book only first class reservations once in France? Or can you book second class reservations with a first class pass?

You can then also book 2nd class. Not just in France, but everywhere.
