Exact travel duration

How is the travel duration calculated exactly? I would like to use a two month pass and travel from 17.08 - 17.10. Does this work? Or does “two months” mean “8 weeks”?

2 month means 17.08 till 16.10

I´ am not working for Eurail or Interrail i just share my knowledge here. Please ask in the Community and not via private message as this is the fastest way to get an answer.
