I have an Interrail Pass that is valid for one month and is set to expire on August 11th. I would like to start my trip on August 1st. If I activate the pass on that date, will I be able to use it for the full month, or will it stop working after August 11th? In other words, is the one-month validity counted from the activation date, or is August 11th the absolute latest date I can use the pass, regardless of when I activate it?

The expiry date (normally 11 months after purchase) is the last day on which you can activate your pass, and is also the latest possible start date of the validity period. If you select 1 August as the start date, then your pass will be valid until 31 August.
