I am traveling with my family and want to get a pass for us all - 3 of us are UK citizens and resident in the UK and one is citizen of the US and not resident in the UK (on a tourist visa).  Which pass should I get?

Interrail for the 3 UK citizens and Eurail for the US citizen

They basically are the same and cost the same price. Interrail is only valid on 2 days in your country of residence while Eurail (obviously) doesn't have that limitation.

Book the Eurostar out of the UK ASAP, it can sell out weeks in advance (quota). Check availability here : https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/Pass#TravelWish

30€ seat reservation but regular tickets are usually way more expensive

I thought a family pass had to be booked together for a better price, but I guess not? Thanks for the feedback!

That only applies to free child passes: they need to be booked together with an adult pass.

Okay great. I can book the kids with mine on interrail and the wife on eurail. Thanks for your help @rvdborgt !
