Hi,
“direct ferries” is no ferry company, it’s a booking website. *g*
There are two companies. The trips are mainly for tourists from Croatia doing a day trip to Venice.
And yes, you need to buy an extra ticket. And it’s expensive, too (about 64 to 95 € one way depending on day, travel class and company).
Surely the most expensive way to do this trip.

Hello! Thanks for your question. Interrail travelers get a 20% discount for passage on all ships from SNAV Ferries. This discount also applies to accommodation such as Pullman seats, berths or cabins. Please note that the discount doesn't apply to the standard SNAV booking fee of 30 euros. Meals on board are also excluded from the discount.
If you need to make a reservation in advance. This can be done in the following ways:
- By sending an email to booking@snav.it
- By calling (+39) 081 428 5555 or (+39) 071 207 6116
- By visiting the SNAV website and using the discount code 'snaveurail'.
Please note that discounted ferry trips within the Gulf of Naples can't be booked through the website.
